I say it is understandable that this seems to nonsense. I'll share what I know about it. But slow down, it's outside of your worldview.
You come back and say I'm evasive, which I am not. If I was why would I spend my time trying to build rapproachment?
Instead you say either its like the moon around Jupiter or I'm being a jerk.
If it was like the moon around Jupiter we'd measure it with our equipment. It obviously isn't.
Instead of being so certain you have all the answers you could learn some things and perhaps let go of some of that anger you have towards your parents.
You have a rigid and highly-defended world view. You say, God, if you're real, you must fit into this box. God smiles and says, "back at you buddy."
Now I've made a very basic mistake in my interactions. I thought these dialogs were to be expansive. When an anthropologist visits a new culture they suspend their world-view so they may see what is about them. So I thought if someone was curious that's what they'd do.
Christianity does not fit into your world view. If you wish to learn, because obviously you have been traumatized by it, stop trying to tell Christ and His Church what they must be.
I'm a smart guy. Smart enough that it has been a major, major struggle to maintain high-level rationality and develop a rich Christian life. What I have learned in the process is valuable. If you want to learn about it you'll have to suspend your absoluteness for a bit. If you require that I express and function through your world-view then all I'll be is sterile because your hatred of your parents that you direct towards Christ is not a world where I know how to live.
If you need to call this feint and dodge I can't stop you. I'll assure you that I have struggled for many hours to find the best way to respond.
