Umm...the padded ones should not look like that at all. Both of our 500s have the padded tubes and they're as srtaight as can be.

I suspect that someone may have pulled the hoses off of your cars then mixed up the orientation and rather than carefully experimenting to see how they are SUPPOSED to go; whomever did the deed just forced them to fit.

You should have no qualms about replacing the hoses with the padded OEM ones as they are manufactured to fit perfectly in the alotted space. Besides, they have an internal steel coil running through them to help maintain the shape. Kind of like the coil that's in a dryer vent hose.
