Kerry, re: Christian Reconstruction.
I've just gone through this issue and I disagree with their assumption that the Christians first duty is to make their nation a Christian nation. In my reading, I see no argument that supports that assumption; they just seem to start with it.
The see only 2 models for Christians: 1) The pilgrim wayfarer of Bunyan's Pilgrim,s Progress--which they reject, or 2) the triumphant soldier of "Onward Christian Soldiers".
Much of what I see comes from assumptions that they try to sanctify by "proof-texts". I prefer an approach that derives concepts from Scripture, rather than trying to force foreign ideas into Scripture.
I consider Christian Reconstructionists as fellow believers ( although they may not consider me as such), but wrong on this issue.
