In their youthful zeal young children ride their bikes or chase a dog or ball into the street regardless of their training. The driver of the car can say that it is the parent's or the kid's fault but when the child is lying dead in the road the child is still dead and all the moralizing and assigning of blame will not bring that child back to life.
I don't Know even if you have a child.
But I Know you stated that your child and a friend were snooping around thus eluding that your offspring was the instigator. Now if you had stated that your child's friend and he were snooping around I would have posted differently. I hope your child has matured to a fine young adult and is in good health at this posting . Too bad you and your friend could not have worked things out about the hidden weapon .

It is truly a horrendous occasion when the death of a child happens for any reason however snooping around in a neighbors attic and youthful zeal are not comparative here but rather simple teachings of respect for others peoples property is the point I was trying to make.

Children need to be constantly supervised in the world we live in today or mishaps will occur. You see it on the news daily . Kids get out of the house and lock them selves in cars and die of heat exhaustion,or jump in the swimming pool when parents are cooking dinner and drown ,they get mauled, maimed and killed by pets in their own home or neighbors yard because they are unattended and left to run wild about the neighborhood or house,Mall, neighbors house ,supermarket and elsewhere.
