I changed my 240D from automatic to manual about four years ago and just continued to use the same cruise control. Works just fine. The only difference is that the crusie/accelerator doesn't shut itself off when the clutch is depressed, but how often do you put the clutch in when going 50 or so with the cruise on anyway? I'm sure you can get the asnwer from Bob Beckman of Beckman Technologies. He rebuilds them. 800-742-1021.
