dont feel bad. Ive got 5 engines (2 benz) and 9 transmissions (6 benz) in my work space as part of a huge back log of projects, as well as a complete 115 stock 4-speed death trap that hasn't been driven in a month.
I think actually driving a project vehicle is over rated.
Wheres the fun in that? if you can drive it around, what makes it different from any old car?
