Coolant light & interior electrical lights

Hello!

I have a couple of problems I'm hoping to get some guidance on to try and self-fix before taking it to the shop.

1) When I have the ignition on and the lighting system off... the interior dashboard + console lights will flicker everytime I press the brake pedal. Any thoughts? I've read a lot about the biodegradable wiring harness, but my cars records show it was replaced (I'm the second owner, but have a complete set of maintenance records from MB). Other than that, I'm not sure what it could be.

2) My coolant light will "glow" after the engine has been running for a few minutes. The coolant level is correct. The coolant light will be completely off when the engine is cold, but as it warms up (say over the course of 15 - 20 minutes), the coolant light will begin to glow increasingly brighter (but I don't think it gets to its full brightness). Again.. any thoughts?

Btw - I have a 1992 300CE (124 engine).

Thanks!
