To resolve no boost issue, check the basics first.
McCauleyBil: The turbo W210 is a fabulous car. Get a clean one and take care of it. It should treat you well. So far, mine is fairly easy to service. I LOVE the OM606. I'd love to swap one into my W123.
SpeedNJay: have you removed the EGR system entirely? Not likely the cause of your issue, but good to do anyway. Make sure all turbo system connections are tight so as not to lose boost or exhaust pressure. Turbo is very simple device. Maybe you are experiencing a fueling issue?
