Yes and no. After all, if I tell you the whole truth that for optimum results, you need $500 worth of product, it might deter you from my product especially when my competitor stretches the truth. I have found that the label gives you the minimum amounts. Yes, there is a point of diminishing returns and when you get past that point, you burn the grass. HOWEVER, in my personal experience, the recommended dose certainly isn't going to cut it. I have gotten better results by increasing the dose. Obviously not simply dumping the entire bag on one spot. The "One bag treats 5000 sq feet" is true. However, 4 bags for 5000 sq feet will kill the grass while something in between tends to give better yields.
