I think Larry's right. If these were Rapture people, they wouldn't be planning on staying around and they'd have little concern about future vegetables for us poor suckers left behind.
I've noticed a general interest in vegetable gardens in Denver over the last year or so. Maybe it's just more people feeling the economic squeeze and comparing the price of seeds to the price of fresh vegetables. Maybe it would be a good time to invest in the canning supply business.
