Here's a picture of mine; I used fine Stainless Steel mesh, and carried the vertical angled line of the grille at the inner edges of the cutouts. I glued the mesh into place with Household Goop, to make for an easy replacement. Good thing, 'cuz one has already taken a BIG hit...needs replacing. If it'd hit anywhere else, likely would've been BIG damage. It's because I've been driving it through New York!
