I have searched for updates via windows xp shortcut menu in the device manager. Still no luck, got a message saying updates were unsuccessful. Lucent Win modem is the type.

Maybe I'll try to go directly to the web site and retrieve the driver rather than doing it via update option on the shortcut menu.
