No hand techniques to the head - I think thats a difference. I'm not sure what association we are a part of, but the classes are not expensive, they are held less than 3 miles away (I'd walk/bike but that'd cut into family time...) and the Master is going for his 8th Dan in a few weeks(?) Months(?) so he has a lot to show us.
I just started in January, I'm an Orange belt right now just going 2x/wk. I could be much better technique-wise but I'm learning..and most importantly- I can see myself improving pretty much every week - thats a great feeling. The slow weight loss (havent changed my eating habits =) is just a side benefit.
Back On Topic:
I promised myself I'd never eat that much again. I forget what all we had (it ended with a chocolate volcano cake-something) but it was all that good...newlywed wife and I were tired from airplanes that day anway to rolling ourselves back to the hotel was all we wanted to do anyway.
