It won't work on an OBDI car. You can not download parameters as you can on later model cars. The only way to change parameters on these is to burn a new memory chip for it. In the days of these cars, there was a whole industry that provided chips for parameter changes.
When the later OBDII cars came along where parameters could be downloaded, those vendors shifted to developing and selling the programmers.
