I admit that I have not followed him closely. Three comments of his that come to mind are:

He said something about not having muslims in his cabinet because they might not be loyal (or some such nonsense). He later tried to back off on that one.

He said he would veto any bill longer than three pages. He tried to back off on that one, but was not convincing.
