Of course not. It's just edited in a misleading way.That's not what I get from her full quote. Others can read her words and judge for themselves. To someone reading her words and taking them at face value, the only reasonable interpretation is that she was making a valid political point. Consider the context. Congress was about to vote on a controversial bill. People were saying crazy things about it. (Remember "death panels"?) Pelosi was pointing out that those opponents were going to look rather silly once the bill was signed into law and none of those terrible things happened. In fact, in her opinion, a bunch of good things would happen. At that point, the fog of death panels will have been lifted and people will realize that the GOP fed them a bunch of crap.

A fair person can disagree with her about the substance of the health care law and can criticize the compressed time for getting the bill through Congress, but no fair person can suggest that Pelosi intended to for the bill to remain secret until after the vote. For one thing, I doubt that there would be a legal way to do that. For another, if that was her intent, would she really be bragging about it?As insane as the next guy, I guess.
