One good chug of water up the air intake is all it takes to finish the engine with a thrown rod due to hydro lock. One engine revolution and one ounce of water can mix to make one very bad day. Unless life is on the line, I wouldn't risk driving through a pond at any speed. Sometimes people call these old Mercedes boats, but they're not!
