I never tried it, but it is just a white powder. I would be afraid to get it in my eyes with my contacts though, I dont know what it would do but it just sounds scary. It is ultra tiny crystals. it gets under the fleas scales and cuts them open like little knives, they literally do bleed to death. I never had any issue with it in the carpets and throws.
