To tell the truth, no, I don't remember doing any special turning when I reinstalled the torque converter. I remember a splined end that just fit (and some bolts)...

I put about 700 miles on it after the rebuild. The entire time the tranny felt like a new car. It shifted confidently, firm but not rough.
