40+ knots...

45 mph in 68ft new Sportfishing boat - YouTube

I love boats and I like a lot of little ones. But at my heart I want a 40 knot Carolina boat. With a pair of 12 or 16 cylinder diesels, cranking.

55 Hatteras John Anthony - YouTube

All the light boats can sit in the harbor, but when it gets rough and snotty nothing smashes the chop down like weight. Toys sit at the dock, while the men go out in a Hatteras of course.

Light boats are worthless when it gets a bit snotty. My grandfathers Chris Craft showed a few Sea Ray's how it was done when conditions were not perfect. I remember when I was little passing a much larger Sea Ray in 6ft chop, toy boats stay inshore.
