How did you get stuck? Are your tires bald?
My 300E without ASD has made it through 4 Colorado winters (on 17" tires!), didn't try dedicated snow tires until last year. Car is an absolute TANK. Never got it stuck once. Snow is coming soon here in Colorado and I still need to find winter tires....
