Well the TCM is dry.. I brought the car to a buddy who has a MB repair shop. He hooked it to his computer.. the adaptation numbers for the section that determines the downshifting while coasting to a stop were high he said, everything else looked normal. He said there was a CAN error, but he thought it was just a glitch.. He reset the adaptation but it did the same thing right out of his driveway.. I talked to a couple SA's at a couple dealers and one said to try the adaptation again but he said I have to do the long process or it will just keep it's old habits.. Anyway this time I did the long process and this time I kept the car running 10min or longer.. now so far the trans seems to be alot better.. it doesn't suck back the car like it used to but if you watch the RPM's on the tach it is still downshifting just a little too soon but atleast now I can't really feel it..
Also one dealer SA tried to insist that there are no software updates for my trans.. but everyone I talk to says I need to do a software flash and that will fix the problem.. well I don't know what to do.. do I need one or not? The dealer wants $150 to even check.. so if I don't need an update I just blew $150 for 10 seconds worth of work..
Thanks guys!
