Decorating for Christmas USED to be fun until the wife took it completely over and only allowed whatever designs suited her...granted, every room looks like something out of a Christmas catalog cover, but come home with a "Starship Enterprise" ornament and you get the "death" stare!
Wife has no say on outdoor lighting, but the hours involved in stringing up what ends up looking like a paltry effort, isn't worth it. And with the recent trend of automated light shows, "twinkle, twinkle" just doesn't cut it anymore...BAH HUMBUG!
I do take pleasure in manning the whole-house "Christmas Music" mix...
