Probably a near tie with the K-car-era Chrysler Lebaron woody convertibles (think "Planes, Trains, Automobiles" with John Candy and Steve Martin).
The Gen 1 Cavalier was GM at its worst in every way. As I recall even the sedans felt like they had no body rigidity and the suspension was incredibly crude. And who can forget the awful noises that "Iron Duke" 4-cylinder made? (I worked for a rental company in the day and we had a few.)
How you chop the roof off a chassis that was already a structural dog is beyond me. Must have needed a pile of additional bracing.
