your opinions please on the following:

so have been struggling somewhat with a starting issue with a 1987 420sel.

initially changed the coil and still no spark.
checked the cps cable and got decent (within specs) resistance
changed out the ezl with a used one and all of a sudden cranked

now it seems to be struggling to turn over. have changed battery because texas cold plays havoc.

the other day when cranking, it started but when i depressed the gas pedal it died immediately. that seems to be the current issue....

ideas would be helpful...
