Sounds like you have the wrong replacement pump. I've seen threads on rebuilding the original pump and replacing the seal. The OEM pump is very expensive. There's a member on Benzworld.org, eddie a, that might have a good used one. He's a good guy you might give it a try. By the way, the ride height is adjustable. The link that hooks to the rear control valve from the chassis is adjustable. A 10mm wrench is all it takes.
