That's the problem - if you've got an 87 tuned properly, you end up getting very little smoke even in afterburner mode.
But on the first 87, driven for 130K miles in grandma mode and 18 years of soot built up in the exhaust system when I first got it, I smoked the crap out of some guy tailgating me thru a stop sign in a brand new powder blue 06 Mustang with the windows down - I literally lost sight of his car for a couple seconds and he came to a dead stop in the road, then stayed a good 1/8 mile behind me the rest of the way to work. Found out later it was one of the plant supervisors. Sometimes the planets align and the universe just smiles good karma on you.
