I was wondering if anyone had any ideas about what this could be..
I have a 2005 E55 and this morning when I opened the car I smelled a strong gas/ fuel odor on the inside of the car only. There was no fuel smell in the garage or in the trunk. I could not imagine why this would be so any advice would be greatly appreciated. Also I drove the car and everything seems fine and then again after parking it for an hour or so and retuning to the car I smell the same odor however upon driving it seems to go away and not return until after the car has been sitting for any length of time. Also FYI there has been no recent service performed on the car.
