What I can say is I've never seen anyone in a CT Orchard or farm rocking Topsiders.
Where I have seen them however are at the Pequot Yacht Club and Greens Farms Academy. Of course, you can always prove me wrong.

Exactly -- Topsiders are more preppy than hipster. Hipster would be more likely to rock Converse AllStars or fair trade knockoffs thereof. Anyway, what a farmer wears around the farm has little to do with what they wear "off the job." Just like an construction worker wouldn't wear work boots when going out to dinner.
