I don't think a mid war Moisin is any more dangerous than a pre-war example. The fit and finish is crap in comparrison but that was a function of the necessity of getting weapons to the front line. I've not heard of any incidents resulting in death or injury from anyone using one yet, and that must be of some relevance given the huge numbers that are out there.
