I had a US Army 30-40 Krag. A family friend was helping me restore it when he passed away. when I got to the house after his passing, his dirt bag daughter from his first marriage (who i had never met) had broken into the house and stolen his entire gun safe out of the garage. Its been over a year now and no luck getting in contact with her. not willing to get into to much legal action over a $200 gun. Talked to the cops and since I got it some years back at a gun show and paid cash, and since it was over 100yo no registration was required... so I'm pretty much screwed. I hate it when people take advantage of someones death.
