They apply the same assumption when they ask for ID if you pay by check or by running your credit card through that validation thing. It's a matter of degree, I suppose.

I don't understand that. The people checking the receipts didn't set the rule, why embarrass them in front of their employer by refusing to take a second or two to show your receipt?
