Troubleshooting basic
home network printer issues generally goes along the lines of:
Check that the printer is functioning (self test)
Check data connection from PC to printer (print test)
Enable printer/data sharing on PC that hosts the printer.
Set the printer to shared in the printer settings menu.
Make sure the other computers on the network are using the same network name, such as MSHOME or such.
Install the networked printer, by having the program search the network for a shared printer; if that fails, you have a problem with the sharing settings on the host computer.
