Oldtimers told me that cars were the end of the family farm. Once it was easy to "go to town", it was all over. Ending the "old ways" is not always a step in the right direction, maybe not ever.
The big corps advertised their cigarettes and movies and colas and the poor dumb sucker was doomed. A little cocaine in the cola and we were on our way to becoming the nation of addicts that we are today.
