Rebuilding my turbo and I thought I would look at the wastegate since it was on the bench.
Took the spring and cover off and the rubber diaphram was covered in grease.
Is thus normal?
Should I clean and apply fresh grease?
How do I test its function?

PS There was no oil contamination in there.
