That makes it sounds more like an air flow problem. The heater vents are can be twisted to open and close the vents, are you sure they are open all the way. Not trying to make you feel stupid or anything, just want to rule out the obvious. The hose in behind the vents could have come off the back of the vent as well. You'll have to pull the under dash panel to figure out if they've come off.
