Texting while driving may have been a contributor to the accident; possibly when the school bus driver witnessed the pickup crashing into the tractor, he or she was shocked or distracted to the point of losing control. Instead of focusing on passing the truck, they focused on the accident itself, drawing themselves into it. These things happen within seconds and everyone tends to react differently.

I believe the answer is a GPS robot control system placed in every vehicle which totally controls EVERYTHING (steering, speed and braking). No more texting, DUI, DWI, disabled driving accidents. Similar to a commercial airliner's autopilot, it would take the moron factor out of driving.
