My experience with kidney stones is the most excrusiating pain I have EVER experienced in my life. Last time I nearly went nuts at the ER after two hits of morphine and not even a dent in the pain. I would have cut my finger off to make it stop but I probably would not have even noticed that the finger was gone. I was laying on a gurney and trying to crawl up the wall with my legs to get into a comfortable position. After cursing out anyone and everyone within eye shot I was finally given something and it dropped me into never never land for about an hour and I must have pissed myself and passed the stone or whatever as the pain was gone. Someone called my wife, I don't remember how they got her number. Got home and slept for about 24 hours straight. I have had 4 episodes, they seem to go in 3 year cycles for me.
