I called another buddy of mine (a cop) and he told me that most officers would be willing to hand out flares if they knew you were dropping them at accident sites. So good tip, I'd ask around. Especially since free is cheaper than any store.


The electronic flares are from $10-55 each. Home Depot had them for sale for $7.99 each for Xmas. The stronger models that Police have started using (to avoid the fire risks) are around $45 a piece.
