My M103 does the same thing. I don't worry about it. I don't think you need to either. I doubt harm will come to the parts coming in contact for a few seconds at cold temps. There's always a thin layer of lubricant on internal engine components, no?

Have you considered a thinner cold weather blend? 5W30? My dealer uses that weight in mine.
