I want to replace the main bearings on my 1983 240d and I'm not sure what type of main bearings to buys.


I had the crank at the machine shop and the tech say it looked great and was in spec.

I've seen a couple of different types.
One set says Engine Range: From 12-027799
and another says Engine Range: From 10-086379

Is there a number on the block that will determine the range?
