yup. you have to measure the gap from the valve cap to the lifter... driver's side. otherwise you get a fulcrum error.
I did the same thing once... ONCE! also, be sure which valves you are adjusting. I find it best to print out a chart, and mark off the ones I've adjusted. E, I, I, E, E, I, I, E, E, I...
