This is not a flush, this is a Porsche 928 trick, try useing a top oil treatment like Risolone or Lucas oil treatment, 928's are famous for valve train clatter (ticking) after extended periods of sitting. I have also heard of some people adding ATF to the oil with supposed good results, I personally wouldnt try that.
