Okay total greenhorn\first time poster here. Just bought a 300td 245,000 miles young. I've been addicted to gas all my life.
I love this new diesel idea. I want to be able to work on this car myself. Financially speaking I really need to be able to work on it myself. There is just one problem. I don't know what you guys are talking about. In the last week I have read dozens if not hundreds of posts, about everything, but I realize I don't know the language.
My question(finally): Is there a book or books you would recommend I read to get a grasp of the diesel. To be more specific, the 70's-80's Mercedes diesel - I know I am going to be looking for more of these cars to work on.
