As Sixto said you should be able to get a finger in the gap between the frame and the bottom of the mount, it'll be obvious if it's failed.
I removed the crossover pipe because my extension bars were so close to the plastic parts on the IP, that I was afraid I'd break something off.

I measured and have about 15mm clearance between the bracket and the bottom of the mount, so that should be within specs?

There was one other issue I forgot to mention; when I ordered the parts there was some discrepancy for the part no. of the left side mount: the dealer supplied two (2) mounts with the same part no. 124 240 1917. But according to the EPC the left mount should be 201 240 5217 if A/C present, which it is: when he cross referenced 201 240 5217 it came back telling him to supply 124 240 1917.

I'm not sure what that means; do they no longer manufacture 201 240 5217 or did they later find a problem using that mount. If anyone has any knowledge of this It would be a great help.

Thanks as always.
