Not meaning to get into a round of bashing as to country of origin but below is a list of my latest bag of tricks from MB dealership and their origin.
Engine Mounts: Turkey
Transmission filter: Czech Republic
Transmission mount: Turkey
Ki piston spring: Germany
Bushing for accelerator: half label ripped off!
Accelerator spring: half label ripped off!
Wiper blade: Germany
The fact that I paid double the price (in the case of the transmission mount four times the amount) as what I could get OEM made in Germany, I was kind of expecting that the genuine products I get would be German made.

If you are getting parts from a MB dealer, you are being ripped off.
The local one down here gets many parts from non MB sources.
There is a guy (Abdul) down in Williamstown in Vic That gets MB parts by the container from his brother in Lebanon. His brother gets them from MB in Germany. He can sell for less than MB Australia can land them for.
Try sending

an email, he may have some suggestions of who to try in Sydney.
Its a pity that we have to use a third party to get bits from this site.
