I got a triple square 8mm 12 point bit from Napa. The torx bits are not exact fits. It came off real easy. I propped up the door with a 2X4, then used my screw driver to wedge up the strut just a bit to line up with the holes and that was it. Easy.
I bought 2 new struts off Ebay, but I think 1 would have done the job. The door pops open real fast.
