The ram air upfront with a straight shot into the aircleaner is going to be marginally better than the fender intake. However a straight shot is going to suck in bugs, leaves, etc... far quicker too. Considering the cost of a an 85 cali airfilter over a standard air filter this isn't a win for the pocket book.
