I saw the posts on other sites regarding the mussel or shell gray. I think what was being discussed was 124 chassis cars. I am not sure if this is true for 126 chassis cars.
Yes, looking at the car, isn't the bottom color a dullish brown color?? At any rate it should be shown in that color chart. maybe it is the shell gray (mussel gray, same thing, on the chart they call it shell gray).
No color code in the VIN, but need the VIN to look it up. EPC is electronic part catalog. Easiest thing to do is call the area dealer and talk to part dept, ask them if they can enter your vin on EPC to determine the color code or description of the trim color. Or call Mercedes (1 800 for mercedes) and ask if they can tell you.
