There's an old woman who's family has a VERY successful history in this country and is a member at the country club I used to work at.
No lie-- every year, she would purchase a brand new 62S to be chauffeured to and from the club, and her home was maybe half a mile down the road. Now she's going to be stuck purchasing some peasant's self-driven Rolls.

Well, here's my take- the cheapest maybach above is over 300k. In my opinion, there's not much difference in seat comfort between a car that costs 40 grand, and one that costs 300 grand, but I haven't sat in a maybach. As far as my personal a$$ is concerned, I'm plenty comfortable in a car worth less than 2 grand. I think the big difference is how much you want to pay. If I'm extremely comfortable in something that's a reasonable price, how much more comfortable can I possibly get?
The extra 250 grand is in letting people know you are driving a 300k car around, and for that, the maybach is just too homogeneous with a lot of other really nice cars from MB. Personally I find that old woman to be pretty silly and wasteful just to be wasteful.
